Rivetting work continues, this time on the center section bulkheads.

There is not that much work to do on the center section bulkhead.

One step is to rivet all the nutplates on the parts. Most of these nutplates will be used to attach the cover front plate that covers the fuel lines that run along the center section bulkhead.

The next two pictures show the nutplates on the small support angles that will hold the F782B cover support ribs.

Rivet nutplates on the cover support ribs.

Then rivet the F704-M aluminum angles to the inside of the F704-F forward section.

The flush head is on the forward side because the support ribs will be placed over this in the next step.

In the next picture, all is rivetted in place and the small support ribs are bolted. Four extra AN3 bolts are used on the top and bottom of the longer center support ribs. I guess they use bolts here because the length including the center section bar F704-F would be too thick for any regular rivet. Torqued the nuts to 20-25 inch/pound (I always set the wrench to 23)

There isn't anything else to do on this bulkhead for now. the control column mounts that hold the control stick should not be bolted now as they still have to come off when rivetting the F704 bottom flange to the skin. Could temporarily install them but they have to come off anyway. Clecoed it all toghether with the F704-H center section side plate and set it aside for now. Next, I am going to rivet the firewall.
