As I'm waiting for my new replacement part on the aux longerons, I continued in the manual to the next step.

The next step is assembly of the rudder pedals and the structure that hold the rudder pedals.

All this is required now because this is a point where you still have easy access to the auxiliary longerons for drilling for positioning of the different rudder pedal stations depending on your size. Good thinking by Vans.

So took out the required parts and started edge deburring. All the small lightning holes make it a long task.

You also have to make the F-6117C angles. These are the angles which hold the side brackets to the pedal and connect them to the rudder braces. The plans say 4 require. That is for a single brake system. I have a dual brake system so I will need 8 in total as each pedal take 2 angles.

Then aligned the angle with the pedal at 1/2" distance and drilled the #30 holes.

Repeated it for the other side and then cut away the sides of the angle that stick out of the flat side of the pedal.

One pedal looks like this

Did the same on the three other pedals.
