Those rod end bearings are pretty hard to turn around by hand.

A lot of articles can be found on the web of making tools out of pvc pipe that allow you to install them more easily.

You can find info on that from Andrew's site middle of the page in the link.

However, it might also be that you are too lazy to make a new tool or just don't have the right diameter pvc pipe around just when you need it.

In that case, you can also use the cleco pliers with a piece of floor cloth between the jaws.

The jaws of the cleco plier fit nicely around the ball in the rod end bearing and make it much easier to spin the rod end bearing around.
