Decided to do some fun stuff today. After all the priming, it was time to start putting things together permanently.

First small job, rivet the nutplates that will receive the 8R8 screws from the tank in the W-423 joint plate.
Broke out the pneumatic squeezer and fired away.
I really love my pneumatic squeezer. If you don't have one yet, buy it !

there is no way you can set rivets as consistently as with the pneumatic squeezer.
ok, you can do it by hand. I agree, but you are facing the risk of getting a tennis elbow in the next weeks. (ask me how I got mine!)

Next small job was to rivet the stall warner access plate doubler on the leading edge skin for the left wing.

First, rivetting nutplates for 6R6 screws on the doubler plate itself

Nice and flush.

Then cleco the doubler plate on the leading edge skin.

Inside view with the doubler in place.

Then rivet all doubler to skin holes with the squeezer. Drilled out one... Because I was not happy with the shape (as usual).

Then temporarily attached the access door with 2 screws. Just to see how it looks.

The door is a little small for the hole. But this is 'by design' . You receive it like this from Vans.

This was fun !
