Worked on the ground block installation on the firewall. All electrical negative ground wiring will be concentrated here, squeezed between the airframe and on the firewall forward side routed back to the negative pole of the battery.

The left image shows the firewall forward side. The right image is the rear side inside the cockpit. I drilled an extra connect hole on the right side for a more stable install on the firewall plate.

Next I started working on the installation of the throttle body. I purchased this years ago and have always been eager to install it.

My setup will be to have the throttle quadrant in the center under the cockpit panel with connecting angles that firmly secure it to both F7103 instrument panel and F7105 sub panel.

First step is to drill the holes for AN3 bolts on the side of the throttle body into the angles.

Clecoed the angles and made a mockup installation of the cockpit panel layout for positioning the throttle quadrant.
This wasn't really necessary as it should sit right in the middle but it looked kind of cool.

The Red line indicated the center, the blue lines the sides of the quadrant body.

From the back. 2 screws will hold it to the instrument panel flange and in the back, a beefy angle will support the two angles. I want this to be stable as it will also hold and support the throttle and mixture cable and probably some other cables over the top. To get the angles level, you need the angle to be lower than the sub panel. The sub panel is shorter (higher) than the instrument panel. The angle is wide enough to counter for that.
