“No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound.
Birds do something else.   They do not conquer the air; they romance it..”

Some small tasks in between others. I safety wired the top screws on the gascolators.

Then I used the expanding foam to fill the void on the fuell line between the fuel pump and the firewall passthrough.

Almost ready for the foam and evaluating the run of the conduit and location ot the fuel lines.

The foam makes a bit of a mess so I first wrapped the top cover with some think plastic foil (microwave plastic) so that i could remove the cover again later on. The foam sticks so badly that it would glue the cover to the fuselage floor.

Last check on the location of the fuel line.well above the floor.

The put the foam underneach as the cover is attached with the #8 screws. The foam expands all the way through to the firewall.

The foam does make a mess and I hoped I would be able to clean it up later once dried so that I could create a clean support that fixates the conduit and supports the fuel line.

After a day of drying, I removed the cover. It came of nicely.
It was a mess and I started cutting out the excess chunks of foam and ended up with the result below.

The conduit is nicely encapsulated and fixated, it's far enough away from all nutplates and screws that might harm it with vibration and the fuel line floats on the foam and is clear of the floor and cover.

The fuel line connection is nice and straight both horizontal and vertical.

This is a picture of the area underneath the fuel pump and shows how the conduit lines full of electrical wiring are safely held away from the nutplates and screws into them which are holding the Andair fuel pump.
The angle facing down is made in such a way that it prevents the conduit from moving further inboard if the foam would get loose and the conduit would try to move.
