No bird ever flew nonstop from New York to Tokyo, or raced 15 miles high at triple the speed of sound.
  But birds do something else.
They do not conquer the air; they romance it.

Some decisions in life are bare of any obvious logic

First job today was the installation of all the remaining nutplates on the F-706 bulkheads. You have to crawl in there and it makes it a shitty job but managed to get all of them done.

Some unexpected help showed up. One of my sons Matthias came by to check what I was doing and gave me a hand. Always nice to see when they develop some interest for plane stuff.

All nutplates done. As you see in the image, I have 4 rivets around the top of the F-750 side covers. I drilled them vertically and messed up 3 times to set the rivet that interfered with the flange of F-750 as it kept tilting over. I ended up drilling the nutplate ears vertically and filled the horizontal ones with "rivets to nowhere".

Next step in the process was to install the baggage floors and the lower baggage cover and matchdrill the holes on the bottom where the flange of the baggage floor mates with the baggage cover.

These holes are predrilled by vans on the CNC machine but for some reason, I had some difficulties mating things together as you can see in the image.

With some clecoes in the others  and by using some "persuasion power" , I managed to align them and drill for the 8R8 screws.

Final step is the installation of the wear blocks where the rear attach cable of the seat belts pass through. No big deal, grind the notch, cleco the upper and lower baggage cover together, some measuring to do and then drill through the sheet metal.

And here it is, all parts inside. Ready to take it appart and prime.
